About The Project

At Homestead Village in Lancaster, PA, a multi-phased renovation and expansion of the community’s common areas was completed to create a vibrant hub of activity and connection. The project introduced new dining venues and amenities, including a deli, bistro with a fire-hearth pizza oven, and take-out station, while also transforming the kitchen with state-of-the-art upgrades such as a commercial dishwasher and new hood system to improve efficiency and service. Our team provided culinary programming, food service design, and branding services, reimagining the identity of the dining program with fresh concepts. The former Plow & Pineapple Café and Pineapple Room was expanded and rebranded as Solis (casual dining) and Luna (upscale dining), while Mack’s Coffee and Cream, a new coffee shop inspired by Lancaster’s coffee heritage, was added to round out the offerings. Together, these enhancements elevate the resident experience by combining variety, convenience, and hospitality-driven design in a setting built for both community and care.

SCOPOS
Branding

From coffee shop to destination dining, SCOPOS branding brought each space to life with its own identity while seamlessly tying the community together.

Branding Process

As part of the Homestead Village renovation, SCOPOS Branding team created a distinct brand identity for each new venue, weaving together heritage, hospitality, and storytelling:

Mack’s Coffee and Cream pays homage to Lancaster’s own “Mack the Coffee Man,” Horace Mack, who founded the city’s coffee roasting and blending operations in 1895, blending local history with a modern coffeehouse feel.

Solis, the community’s casual dining venue, captures warmth and comfort, serving as the inviting everyday destination for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In contrast, Luna offers a refined, upscale dining experience that transcends the ordinary, celebrating distinction and elegance for special occasions.

Rounding out the portfolio, Bloom salon draws inspiration from the act of nurturing beauty and rejuvenation, with branding and signage that reflect renewal and restorative care.

Together, these brands establish a cohesive identity that enhances the community’s dining and wellness offerings while creating meaningful connections for residents.
