About The Project

Food safety, transparency, and operations flexibility are at the forefront of today's approach to food service design. Through strategic planning, it's important to improve staffing operations by using simplified solutions and technology to reduce labor, limit risk, and minimize food waste. It's also critical to bring the excitement of dining experiences back to senior members by introducing new venues with varying offerings, times of operation, and locations.

All of these were driving factors in programming and designing the project. SCOPOS made this client connection
while speaking on trends at the EFA conference and was hired immediately to collaborate with the design team and implement these strategies. The project consists of a new standalone amenity building that entails a new production kitchen and various dining options such as Meridian Lounge, Current Marketplace, 30 North formal dining, The Retreat private dining, and the Waves Boutique gift shop, as well as healthcare venues including Sandhill Café, Beachwood restaurant, Hammocks Café/ In Room Dining, and Tides restaurant and bar. Throughout these dining and healthcare venues, SCOPOS provided a strong brand presence, including an on-site branded food truck.

Branding Process

The Main Street branding package embodies the coastal vibe of the Fleet Landing community. From the naming process to the final fabrication, each brand has a story. “Currents” speaks to the fun, coastal environment and invites you to come and go, enjoy easy conversation, and freshly made casual fare any time of day. The Anchor food truck provides elevated street food shoreside, while Meridian promises upscale pub dining or a pre-dinner cocktail before fine dining at 30 North. These brands and others are implemented throughout the communities food service venues. From the signage to smallwares, uniforms, paper goods, and menus, each brand conveys an exciting personality that creates connection and brings value to the Fleet Landing community.
